Default Beautiful ocean blue turbo on eBay

Beautiful car, low miles, very small demerit for root wood. Big price. No affiliation.

I'm on my mobile and don't know how to post the link but this is the item number.

He is smoking his socks. No way that car will bring that kind of money. Wait, change that to that car shouldn't bring that kind of money.

Hey OP hoggel - Thanks for the 993tt heads -up.

I've been sniffing around the neu 911 (991) which is well into $100K USD when optioned with long term ownership in mind. Which makes a comparison with a mid-nineties 993tt at $90k stupid. I'm just saying (and you can compare using a 997.1 if ya like)

Very nice example. If anyone needs me to check it out, let me know. The price is a little high ($10K) but I'd expect that for a dealership in the city.

You can ask 10 people what car they'll buy with $100K and they'll give you 10 different answers. I could sell my C4S tomorrow and buy a well sorted 996TT that has almost twice the hp for about the same money. Mechanically speaking, the 996TT is a better car in just about every aspect. But I like the 993 for what it is (and isn't).

Well,,, that's the piont. $100k USD is just that $100k USD.
A $90K USD 993tt cars performance in terms of cost is Stupid.

So true. +
The same arguement can be made of the 993 coupe vs the 996 coupe.
In terms of performance. Asthetic, not bloodly likely...

Looking over the mid-nineties 993tt ...show's is has a Phillips cassette technology radio with the digital sound option. Yeah baby.. our 993s are getting old-er by the minute.

Which way is the deal stupid? Yes, I would say if you're strictly taking the $$ for performance comp then the 997/991 would be the much better value, but if you're the least bit concerned about depreciation the the 993tt would be a much better value in the long run. It won't be long before the 997/991 is worth half it's value ($50,000) but the 993tt is very unlikely to loose half it's value anytime soon.

Personally don't think the 993tt is worth $100k though.

That car has been available for months. Maybe they're confusing their inventory prices with the Bentleys.

At 21k on the odo and with that pricetag they'll wait some more.

[QUOTE=993BillW;9120879]Edit: ....Which way is the deal stupid? QUOTE]

He Bill -
By any metrix I suppose.

The 996tt Porsche for one has a leg up performance wise to that of the 993tt. Money wise, there's plenty of daily driver 993tt to choose from in the 30k to 50k miles,,, at a purchase price for far less.
The $99k USD MY97 993tt / 22K mile example here with only a few miles added with be among the many low mileage $60k+ USD valued 993tt's. And with a few more miles the value will erode even more.
My understanding is to be a precious 993 example the mileage must be under 5k miles or less.

IMHO.... asthetically speaking the 993 is king of the hill today. The neu 991 is closing in though.....
