Eibach street springs have a well-deserved reputation for sagging after awhile and that affects spring rates. While this is not a safety issue since they don't break, it does change the handling so we like to replace them when they sag more than 19mm.

My preference is H&R for street springs. Eibach's race springs are just dandy.

Why do springs sag? If they are properly designed they will not exceed the yield point of the steel even when compressed to solid. If they don't hit the yield point, there shouldn't be any strain hardening or change in material characteristics.
