Default MY 2002 996 Wheels

I have two sets of MY 2002 996 track wheels. They are straight and true, but not cosmetically 100% perfect, but look pretty damn good in my estimation. They have been spun up and are straight and true. There are no cracks or welds on the wheels...they hold air perfectly.

8" X 18" 50mm off set
10" X 18" 65mm off set

$800 a set, you pay the freight. These shouldn't last long at this price I am thinking. I am putting these up on e Bay soon as well.

I have pics of 3 of the 4 wheels. One of the Rear wheels is at the tire shop getting the tire removed. It will be ready for pics hopefully on Tuesday, the 22nd.

Pic #1 Front (Rubber Valve Stem) Excellent Condition, good enough for the street
Pic #2 Front (Rubber Valve Stem) Excellent Condition, good enough for the street
Pic #3 Rear (Metal Valve Stem) Good Condition, a few nicks, great track wheel...the other wheel is in about the same condition.

I'd be interested in the rears if you decide to split them up.

Smile Bump with Pics

Here are some Pics...

The wheels are pretty well spoken for, but just in case one of my buyers changes their mind....I thought that another post was in order.

$800 is a SMOKING deal for MY02s. I paid $800 and traded my Cup IIs for a set of MY02s in 07, and I thought that was a great deal.

Martin, could you check on shipping cost of a set to 02110? Or give me your zip and the packed weight of one front and one rear wheel.

Not only can I not believe it, I can't believe I'm considering 5th (sic) set of wheels for a street car.

Go Greyhound on these puppies if shipping coast to coast. Fedex sells a 24x24x24 carton for about $10 that is double walled and big enough to accommodate 2 wheels plus a decent amount of packaging material. Would run about $60 per carton and take 3-4 days.

Martin you are the man. I'll be flogging these wheels at our new track soon. Sleep well knowing they will be going to a good cause!

Smile Wheels are gone....

Notta_Trol got set #1, Dan got set #2...this wheel selling is exhausting. But I have learned one thing from this exchange, price MY 2002 996 Factory wheels at $700 to $800 dollars, they'll sell in a heartbeat!

Thanks guys for your interest; I only wish I had more sets for everyone!

Smile Why did I sell the wheels?

Going back to 17". If I can put on low profile tires, similar to what I ran in 18" tires, I get a slight gearing advantage. In addition, 17" tires are a bit lighter as well.

17" tires are cheaper to buy, and I have a pal that sheds his Hoosiers like water off a duck's back, after about 5 heat cycles.

I'll continue to track the car.

Thanks for asking.
