Sounds Like a solid car..I've done well with Autotrader..I've sold 3 cars on that site, and I had both ads going on both sites for the 1st 2 cars..much more response from Autotrader.GLWS

Hmmm...how about starting with Rennlist for a bit, and seeing if you can hold-off from the masses? When I sold my '07 997S, I was nervous about the bottom-feeders. So, I took an aggressive stance in my sales write-up ("this is NOT a distressed sale, price is firm", etc.). Worked reasonably well. In fact, I had just planned to put my toe in the marketplace to gauge potential interest while I "considered" selling it--and, lo and behold--5 days later she drove away. I must say--I don't think I was quite emotionally ready!
Oddly enough, I think the buyer came from Yahoo (may have had a free listing?), or maybe Cars.com. Anyway, for such a great car, you may find success right here on Rlist! GLWS!

Prefer the Autotrader presentation. Sold an 05 M3 ZCP for asking on there. Just be ready for the crank calls from 'dealers' and consigning companies.
Interestingly enough the worse tire kickers/low ballers materialized through the ad I placed on the enthusiast websites. Don;t think that would be the case RL.

When I was buying or selling I considered both and used both once. I feel that Autotrader has more cars like ours, but one never knows. For $50 or whatever an ad runs, why risk possibly missing a prospect. You or I are not the typical buyers, checking Autotrader, Cars.com, Yakaz, eBay, Craigzoom, PCA website, etc. Some may check 2 or 3 and might not use Autotrader. Next time I'm first going to use the "free" ones for a week or two and then add more.

What I dont like posting on Rennlist is that fact that people can post their comments. You always get that one guy who posts a stupid comment or makes a reference to the price.

Coming from someone that is looking for a P-car, I check Autotrader daily. I rarely check cars.com. I just sold another car last week on autotrader and was pleased. Craigslist seems to be effective too. GLWS!

I think if anyone posts an ad or a pseudo ad (as in I'm thinking of selling) in the forum section, they are inviting comments in which they cannot control. I agree that in the classified and for sale by members section, comments should be off limits. That's easily accomplished by posting and then closing the thread.

Another vote for www.autotrader.com as I sold two cars for area car club members in the past year. 2 for 2 with my efforts there and only $30 or so for 2 months, 9 photos and unlimited write-up. No fee if car sells. I think ebay still hits you up for a $125 fee afterwards which is why most ebay deals are done off-line. You can never get a true reflection of actual sales prices in the 'completed' listings.
