Default Brake rotor rust prevention ideas anyone?

Anyone have a way to keep rotors from rusting? My question is really about the inside where the rotor itself vents. No matter how clean my car is, the top of the rotor looks terrible... Powdercoat? Paint? A spray rust inhibitor?

Thank you!

Electroless nickel plating when new keeps everything looking like new.

Do not, under any circumstances, allow the rotors themselves to get wet.

You can try sandblasting the insides of the rotors and then spraying them with something like High Temperature Header Paint. The ceramic paints are supposed to be good to 1500 deg. I have painted exhaust manifolds with this and it held up well but I don't know how it would hold up on rotors.
The trick with that paint was to bake the paint on in an oven to help cure it. Make sure you get your wifes permission before doing this in the house. I got yelled at once for baking my tie rods...

Default Rotors

Not at Andrea's level, but good enough. Powder coated the inside. Plating may have been a wiser move. GL.

I used Eastwoods rust converter. It turned everything inside the vented area black and it has stayed that way going on two years now. Fast and easy to do. Looks great.

Coop - make sure that you (they) mask the rotor surface prior to plating. I was not (and I'm still not) convinced that the plating would erode after a few jabs of the brakes.

Nurburger: That is really NICE! What I wanted when I dropped off the calipers to be p-coated blue and the rotor hats fins to be silver. Big surprise to find the latter blue. Since it was an hour drive each way and another week of waiting for a new p-coat, I just went with the blue. Sorry I did so.
