I will try to meet you there - coming from the City via Kinderhook.

Hey guys I ran into a couple of you on the thruway today. I was in a Dark Blue 996 C4 cabriolet w/ hardtop. I was than up at the museum with my father in his Bullitt Mustang. I'm sorry I didn't see this post earlier. It was a very neat exhibit.

Nice job again Bob! It was good to see familiar faces and some new ones also. Instead of going for the drive after lunch, we checked out the grounds at Saratoga Springs. I ended making a nice little run home instead of taking the Thruway to the Mass Pike. I took Rt 2 (outside of Troy) all the way into MA then onto Rt 122. On 122 I met a very nice State Trooper. Thanks to my excellent driving record, I only got a verbal warning (I guess have the family in the 993 helped).

Here are some of my pics:

Thanks for posting the pics and congrats on avoiding a ticket! We had a great drive after the Museum and I can officially tell you Lake George and surrounding areas are dead in Nov which leaves the roads pretty much wide open! Lots of nice twisties and turns. I logged 430 miles today....whew.

oh man, I'm beat. ride home seemed loooooonnnnnng, but made it without issue (a few NY trooper scares not withstanding). Good to meet the new folks and always a pleasure to see the usuals.

Hope everyone else made it home ok.

looking forward to the trips next year.

Holy ****! What a day!! Had a blast as usual! On the way back I ended up dropping off my car in Hunter, picking the station wagon and driving to Brooklyn to pick up my wife and son from a party. Got home not too long ago. 640 miles total between the two cars. 500 or so in the Porsche.

It was great seeing everybody, the museum was awesome, and I've decided that one day I'd like to own a 959. I think that's the most beautiful Porsche ever made.

BTW, as we were pulling on to the Thruway to head North to Lake George, there was a Beck 904 going in the opposite direction, anybody see that?

If you have a "MK2 996" plate Jay and I saw you this morning - black and silver 993s.

Thanks Bob for all the planning. Another fun day. Heck...I am finally using my Porsche instead of letting it sit.

It was 585 miles of fun. (ah..maybe the last 50 seemed to never end as I was already late and had our Saturday night guest over at my house working on a bottle of wine from Mexico (bold in flavor) with my wife.
But I had the Porsche!

I really enjoyed spending time with all of the Rennlisters. This is more than just another forum. And now my buddy Vinny with the Corvette has Porsche fever.

Now that I am hooked, do I have to wait for Spring for the next run?

I posted some photos in the O/T forum as well.

Hi Guys,

First of all many thanks to Bob for organizing this great day. My first outing with Rennlist and my wife and I had a wonderful time. It was a real pleasure meeting in person. We look forward to the next one ...

Great pics Marin, it was nice to meet both of you.

Mark as far as I'm concerned, hell no. If there is a weekend with some clear and dry weather, I'm always up for a drive...even if its just a few of us.
