Will 9J x 17 / 7J x 17 rims fit my C2S? Without spacers?

Seems I have to get a set of winter tyres and rims after all. I have been offered the following off a 996: Back - 255/40 R 17 98V Extraload M & S with 9J x 17 ET 55, front - 205/50 R 17 93V Extraload M & S and 7J x 17 ET 55. Much appreciated if someone could offer me some advice on whether or not these will fit my C2S, and if spacers would be needed to make them fit. Thanks.

They will fit but the rears will fill out the wheel wells better with a spacer. The 17" Cop II wheels with the same 55mm offsets you listed were standard equipment on the C2S and came with spacers on the rear fitted from the factory. Sorry, can't remember the exact size.

Ok, many thanks for the quick response. If they seem ok I might just go for them. Take it a local dealer can help out with the dimension of the spacers.

Christian J - will do. To be honest I have hardly seen the car myself at this point, it is sitting with the local Porsche dealer since it arrived here about 10 days ago, and I have not had an opportunity to go see it yet, apart from an evening torchlight inspection the night it arrived. I am very excited, to say the least. Pics to come, plus story of how I found it, lost it and then managed to get my hands on it again (from Richard Sloan in CT).
jimbo3 - perfect, thanks! I might then just get the rims, if they are as good as they look on the photos.
