Default New project for me, yet another 993 RS Clone for you :-(

The victim, just what I was looking for a 1995, 993 Coupe GP White/Black with the M224 "ABD" option, an option which includes what I really wanted: LSD and 4 channel ABS. Car bought in Texas and a real "diamond in the rough" to me that had not seen any snow.

Plan is an RS clone using factory RS/RSR/Supercup parts with a few aftermarket pieces where needed. In the end to have a GT3 engine I have installed, but a long time away.

I decided to start at the front and move to the back of the car in a restoration/modification project.

Pretty dirty under the car

BBS wheels planned for car on dirty rear suspension

After cleaning. WD40 is very good at removing cosmoline.

Factory RS monoballs trial fitted with factory cross strut

Suspension cleaned and ready to install on my bench. RS uprights, 964 RS manual steering, GT2 tie rods, Walrod bushings, RS stabilizer bar, RS steering reinforcing strut.

RS shifter ready to go

Parts installed

Little mod I made to install a 10 mm rod end at end of shift rod. This took a lot of slop out of the linkage and was a simple project.

964 Cup ABS heat shield I had is perfect ABS shield here too. Struts are stock units since I am awaiting delivery of Bilstein SuperCup struts from Germany; a two month wait, Bilstein is in the dark ages as far as customer service.

Brakes, 928 GTS calipers flipped for 911 use, 993 TT rotor

Trial fit of factory RS spoiler, fits perfectly.

OK guys, I screwed up. It took me a while to figure out that I made the picture album "private" instead of "public" and have changed it. LMK if pictures still do not show.

Looks great. I put the 964 RS American manual rack in my (lightened) 993...it's great, but be forewarned, the steering in parking lots is very heavy. You may not like it. Take as much caster as you can out of the front alignment.

Great project & good luck with the build!

I'm really starting to love white 911's - especially with black interiors.
