As a result of a few last minute decisions, a buddy and I decided to attend the Quail event. What an outstanding display!!! If you are a fan of the four cylinder four-cam engine that was Porsche's racing mainstay through the 1950's and early 1960's, this was paradise. Present were no less than ten Abarth Carreras:
At least as many 904's:
:
Two 804's: Porsches early 1960's attempt at Formula 1:
Four of the sixteen America Roadsters (predecessor to the Speedster):
Two Gmund Coupes:
A 901:
As well as dozens of 550's including the first one, RS-60s, RSKs, numerous 4-cam Carreras and countless Speedsters and other 356's.
Yes it was an expensive experience but a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see some historic Porsches in a beautiful setting. Lunch was pretty good too.

^^correct me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, the tickets were $400 each, $300 or more of that was given to charity (Cancer research). That also included catering by the Quail Lodge, correct?

Yup, 400 bucks, 350 which went to lung cancer research and is tax deductible. Food was prepared by Tarpy's Roadhouse and if you are familiar with the restaurant, you know it was good! Also, there were a few local wineries providing complimentary wine tasting. All said, it was a great three and a half hours and I took pictures until my memory card was full

I had complete sensory overload at Rennsport Reunion. If I had of gone to the Quail event it may have pushed me into a comatose state. GREAT video, thanks for posting.
