much confusion here... And mixing of products and terms.
any joint used in place of the standard 993 floppy rubber joint will increase NVH.
that's the price we pay for improved shift feel! it isn't much of an increase in NVH
the golden rod is the same concept as the Porsche RS shift rod, same NVH

you are confusing a SSK with the RS style shift rod, aka Golden Rod.
these are two different things.
and yes, that customer was taken care of long ago...

by the way, Porsche uses "crude U-joint" in their RS shift rod...

I know, but nobody is perfect, not even Porsche.

It works, but something else might work better, although maybe more expensive.
