Tangram...it looks like you you have plenty of expert advice to follow. I certainly like my Iris Blue 95 and have enjoyed getting it to the point where it is. Have fun...

...I am thinking about new rims, (black or...)...tangram
I would check with Fuchs to see if they are taking orders for their new 17" deep Windmills....

This would be the best looking wheel ever seen on a 993.

For the rest of your upgrades: RS engine mounts, short shift kit, HID low beams.

Next Saturday 11/5, I'm installing my new Walrod bushings, new Bilsteins and ROW springs, and a strut brace. I'll report my findings.

The PSS9 is the predecessor to the PSS10. Its the old model.

The mechanic didn't think that for my needs it made sense to spend the extra dollars for the '10's. Open to a different opinion though.

I am going to be biased because they are on my car, but I am very happy with the JIC suspension. You can customize the spring rates and the shocks are adjustable. They also come with mono-ball uppers and camber plates, which cost extra with most systems.
IF I had an open budget a re-gear and a LWF would be on my to-do list. The 1st-2nd gear gap is ridiculous. Exhaust doesn't add power but defintely adds a grin factor
Have fun modding!

Me too! Very happy with my JICs as well. You can adjust ride height without touching the spring, which is one nice touch that the other coilovers dont have.

My top mods I've made to date in terms of positively transforming the way my car drives are:

RS engine mounts
RS SSK and rod
Bilstein HDs and full geometery to fast road set up
HIDs
100 cell cat, louder mufflers and live remap
340mm Atiwe steering wheel

All these mods have made the car so much more fun to drive, as if it was set to 2 at the factory and I'm now at about 7. Planning to reach 8 on the dial by adding an RS LWF and clutch over the winter....

They don't make the 9's anymore. The PSS10s are excellent for the street. One of your other choices for less money is the Bilstein HDs which are non adjustable.

As noted, 10's are what are sold now. As I mentioned above, I'm installing Bilstein HD's and ROW MO33's next weekend, look for my reports. They are going on my '95 with 68k, that has original shocks/springs. Not a horrible ride now, but they've served their duty. Walrods too....

I love your Iris Blue...gate included.

The thing I like about this forum is that you get ideas/opinions from people who have already tried all the options. I just followed the experience of others and am SO HAPPY with my car.

4 must haves (my opinon of course)
PSS10
Walrod Bushings up front
RS engine mounts
RS clutch and lightweight flywheel

Money left over?
Godenrod & Short shifter
Fister II or III

Alignment, Alignment, Alignment

Beautiful 993....how did you go so long without upgrading?
let us know how it turns out.

Here are a few more photos. Beautiful weekend here, unlike the U.S. NE. The Iris Blue really "shines" in the sun.

^^^^^^Beautiful! I've only ever seen one Iris Blue 993 "in the metal" and I loved it.

Looking at your car is a lesson in how good these cars look close to stock. The Cup IIs look so right on a lowered 993. I thoroughly understand the desire to change things a bit as you've owned it for so long but don't go overboard with upgrades, the basic car is a wonderful thing. I'd stick to a thorough suspension makeover and maybe some 18" wheels (I still prefer the hollow-spoke twists or MY02s as they both maintain the subtle look).

By the way, I'm jealous of your weather.....it's been raining for what seems like 993 days.

Would that be Bilstein HD Struts front and HD shocks rear?

ROW MO33? Are those springs?

Why this set-up and not PSS10?

What's the difference?

What shocks and springs come with PSS10?

Thanks.
