I have to agree. That said, the 997 will depreciate like a rock whether it is driven or not. He might as well drive it.

Some people like to go to forums and fire up topics that are controversial, bound to elicit strong opinions. You know...stir things up just for kicks and watch the fall out

Ah, got it...thank you.

I'm not trying to stir things up, just would like some honest feedback (which it appears I am getting!).

Originally, I was looking at a '96 4s that was $27k. I later discovered it has a salvage title, so I decided/still trying to decide on what to do. Any thoughts on this? The car was totalled 10 years ago and since that time, the second owner put 60k miles on it. All service records are available.
