Default JOY, the 997.2 stays in our garage

Chairman Meow (Maya), recently decided to buy her car at the end of the lease since;
  1. it's a sweet well-spec'd car
  2. residual vs current market value seemed to make sense
  3. where else could we get as good a car for ~ $65K?

If you ever read Total 911, you may have seen some of our decision making process in print.

Look for us @ RennSport and say hi.

Info from her original post back in 09

"For anyone who is interested, here are some pics of my new 2009 C2S with PDK.

Having come from a Cayman S with Tiptronic, the PDK is quite different and definitely provides a more "mechanical" interface. Also, since I never learned to drive a manual transmission, I cannot make the obvious comparison to manual, but maybe my husband over on the 993 board can chime in on his thoughts about the PDK. However, there are some disconcerting aspects such as a pronounced "clunking" (sounds as if I've dropped some parts on the road) especially when it shifts down to 1st, particularly in Sport Mode.

My options are as follows:

Nordic Gold Metallic
Cocoa Brown Full Leather
Power Comfort Seats with Driver Memory
PASM Sports Suspension Pkg.
PDK
Self Dimming Mirrors
Heated Front Seats
19" Carrera Classic Wheels
Rear Window Wiper
Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
Dynamic Cornering Lights
Multi-Function Steering Wheel-Lthr-PDK
Bluetooth
Sport Chrono Package Plus
Bose
Floor Mats in Interior Color
Universal Audio Interface (iPOD, et. al.)
Porsche Crest in Headrest"

cheers

Craig

That's a superb color combo.

I saw a Targa 4S for sale in that color and it took everything I had not to buy it. Nice!

Craig,
Awesome! And very glad you decided that you needed 2 pcars in the house. I was a bit worried that you might lose your mind and get rid of one...the wrong one.

Thanks for the kind comments, Maya is happy with her choice.

Not to worry KJR914. We'll discuss further over some of the finest craft beer SD has to offer.

Awesome! I love your car - was just wondering the other day if you had decided to buy it off lease or if I had to bug you about buying it again

On second thought, Maya SHOULD sell that car. Cheap. To me. I love that color combo. And I wouldn't mind the extra 100 or so HP. I might even ignore the auto tranny if the price is low enough...
