Our company used to do the A4 Quattro but changed to the A3 TDI to go green. Im an all around AWD fan, especailly living in Utah. I get the free fuel as well, which is nice! I would have taken the Dodge Journey if the Outback wouldnt have been available. The Outback was supposed to take 8 weeks to get it but I found one locally and our fleet person (we use Wheels) worked a deal out locally so I got it almost immediately after finding it locally. Im happy with the Outback so far and my daily driver (Navigator) pretty much sits. I see a few A3's around and they are small. Outbacks have TONS of room for the size of the vehicle.
My 5 year old is now a Porsche and Outback spotter. You cant drive 2 blocks in Utah without seeing an Outback! Its a good choice for this neck of the woods.

enjoy the new car.
I've heard nothing but good things about the new OB mechanicals / drivability.
Aesthetics are challenging IMO, but then most Subies are not pretty.
i'm in similar position where company would provide free A3, (and fuel ), but then i'd most likely end up selling my 06 Outback.
Not enough room to keep the OB and the A3, but the A3 is just too small to haul the stuff i tend to haul.
Other option is to keep the OB and just get paid for mileage, but i really want an Audi.
Twould be a no-brainer if they offered an A4 Avant!
sigh
