Mark, maybe he was concerned that you may drive it in the rain & snow.

I spoke to the seller a few months ago and Nick(seller) really only wants to do a local sale, meaning no out-of-state buyers. He also had the car listed for $40k a few months back as well. Car does seem to be unique.

Maybe that's the problem!

Just got this message "To be honest and not rude, think I will sell down here in US. No idea what would be involved in selling to someone in Canada and not interested in finding out.
Sorry."

At least he's sorry that he is a flake

YES! I love that car. Just a couple years too soon for me right now...too much going on.

Well, in almost all of these 'suites' of aerodynamic shapes that Porsche has developed, the front pieces are providing most of the downforce and the tail is just to stabilize rear drift and yaw at very high speeds ... at least that was true in the past. I'm usually a stickler for 'if it came from the factory that way, leave it alone' ... but, I think I'd run a stock lid on this puppy .... and keep the factory wing in mothballs for the 2030 Porsche Parade Concourse ..

Meh, what do I know ... I just looked at the ad again and that damn tail is growing on me .. well you know what I mean. Joanne, I think you and Robert need to get your tails to Vernon Hills and make this guy an offer he can't refuse ....

What's the big deal about selling out of state or even Canada? Cash is cash no matter where it comes from. I've sold cars out of state and last year a motorcycle to Canada with no issues. Quite simple, buyer sends you cash (bank check), you sign over title and FedEx to new owner along with perhaps a bill of sale, new owner arranges for shipping, you make sure that you or an agent are available to hand car over to shipper, wave good bye, end of story. The only thing extra that I experienced about selling to Canada is that I had to go to the Ducati dealer and get a print out that any and all recalls were complied with.

This guy sounds like a rookie. If he only wanted to sell to his next door neighbor he should have stated that in his ad.

Yes, it's called Ebay. It's not just national, but global.

If he wanted to sell local, Ebay has a local classified option now. He sounds like a bumdass!

I think the seller is trying to stop Onami (Mark) from buying all the nice US cars. Someone has to stop him! I am surprised that Mark in Baltimore is not calling him out! (There are a lot of Marks on this Forum).

RB Cab in SoCal for $49K would be more like my style, but for the price.

However, I do like BT better. Appreciate the help though. Thanks.

^^ The RB Cab in SoCal for $49k is a RL car. I tried to buy it at one point before I bought my 993TT.

Both that car and the seller are top notch.

Yeah, thanks a lot Mark! Actually, the truck came this morning to pick up the red C2. The driver commented to my wife that is was such a nice car and asked how long I had owned it. She told him 2 years. He said something about that not being very long and she laughed and told him that in the 16 years we've been togehter that was the longest she'd ever seen me keep a car! I'm not a good flipper as I am nearly $12K in the hole since I started playing with 993's...but I guess $6K/year isn't too bad at all

Hey Mark.

I speak with envy. Keep up the love affair with the 993s and your wife.

I think the black/red C2S in the other thread has an after-market wing that looks like the NB Aerokit wing.
I agree as well. Aerokit for narrowbody non "S" models.

Turbo S aerokit on widebody cars.
