Yea or Nea - Gold centers LMs

As others have said, gold can look great against white but more of a dusty pale gold vs the bright yellow/orange gold in that photo. Too much contrast.
These E88's would look great if you really like the gold look

I vote yes, just keep experimenting with perhaps a lighter shades of gold. Less saturation. I love gold/white or black gold, doing it to my AG cups for fun but just the spokes of course, barrels are getting repolished/clearcoated.

I searched high and low...could not get THE BBS color code from anyone. (it is in the never-never vault). However, I found a guy after months of searching that had two cans of spray paint made that he claimed were an identical match for BBS LMs. I bought two cans and sprayed some aluminium. In fact, it was PERFECT. I had that peice of aluminum matched at a paint shop and after a bit of work, he got it very right.
I can send you a painted peice and you can have it matched.
btw, your second photoshop with the front wheel toned down looks great.
Just my opinion, but trust your own taste and you will be happy. (I like the white with the gold...)

I'm "just a little" biased, but I have a real soft spot for the history of BBS race wheels. I remember when BBS Motorsports made THE racing wheel. They were bold and gold, and that was it. The comparative Porsche spec wheel was the light and strong Fuchs - another killer historical design.
You may recall that in the 90's the BBS look (and Fuchs for that matter) fell out of favour as the modern silver painted wheels came into fashion. The fact that they were cast, weaker and heavier was irrelevant.
Soooo....long story short, BBS original style wheels recall for me the heyday of some of the great sports racers. I love 'em. And Fuchs too, for that matter.
I think they would work on a number of colours, including white. As pointed out previously, the shade needs to be subdued compared to the original mocked up photo. I was not sure they'd work on silver, but I love 'em.
Cheers!

The deep dish rear look is really only possible on the WB cars, as you point out you can fit an 11" rear which makes all the difference. On the NB, 10" is as wide as I could safely fit and hence the shallow rim half.
FWIW, I had no trouble with an 8.5" front, which will be a better fit with a 235 (or 245, should my suspension eventually accomodate it).
Best,
Matt
