I'm looking at a set of SportTechnos to possibly use on my NB cab. The fronts are 18x8 ET50, which will fit perfectly. The rears are 18x11 ET65, which might or might not fit.
Does anyone have experience with SportTechnos (shown here: http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...Detail&id=51)? Weights, rear fitment, thoughts?

11"x18"ET65 with 285/30-18 is a perfect fit for a narrow body 993 (and 996). Actually, the rim width is insignificant with regards to fitment (as long as it's not too wide and hit something...), it is the offset (ET) and tire width that matters. If you have a 9"x18"ET65 or a 10"x18"ET65 or a 11"x18"ET65; the vertical centre of the tire will be identical. And in most cases the tire would be wider than the rim, so the tire width and the offset are the limiting factors, not the rim width.
If you roll the fenders lips, you can use 295/30-18rear and 235/40-18 up front.

when fitting wheels and tires both ET and width are important as is the inner and outer clearance
here is the issue wrp to the op's ?
here is a 10ET65 w/ 265/35 tire, notice anything?

yes, my car is extremely low, but that does not contribute to the issue in any way. The clearance is less than .25"

Bill is the expert so I would suggest you heed his advice.
I have 7mm spacers on my lowered CupII's (17x9 ET55) and get occasional rubbing under compression on the passenger side. IMO 13mm is way too much, depending on the setup eg stiffness of suspension, ride height etc

I'm completely with Bill here, of course, and thus the original question. I believe that Fly911 is confusing offset with backspacing. Backspacing doesn't take wheel width into consideration. Offset certainly does just by virtue of it's calculation.
What I'm concerned with is whether 11" wheel would rub on the inside. Bill, on your pic is the tire hitting the strut? I'm running street camber (maybe a degree or so in rear), so this might be OK? But if that's the case with 10" wheel, 11' probably would rub for sure, no?
I'm currently running 285 tires on one of my sets that should be 10" ET65. Doesn't rub. I think 13mm on the outside part will not be a problem. But the other extra 13mm on the rear? I'm not so sure.

CB, there will be no stretching with 285 tire and 11" wheel.
The rule of thumb is 2" difference between wheel and tire is fine (there are nuances that have to do with mounting width vs. thread width, the actual vs. spec'd tire width, etc, but for the sake of this discussion they are not very relevant). 285mm is about 12", so this wheel/tire combo is absolutely fine. As is 285 tire on 10" SSR wheel that I'm running now.
PS. I'd still like to hear what anyone thinks of TechnoSport wheels if there's any experience.

BTW, how much camber do you have there? 2.5-3 degrees? That contributes to the proximity up top there, right?

I've decided against it as well, Bill. Good advice, straight to the point ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Made a deal on a set of RH Speedlines instead that look almost like yours.
