Default FS: Strut brace and Trunk carpet

I have a 993 front trunk carpet from '97 car. It's standard dark charcoal color, the only color used on '96+. Has slots cut for a strut brace. Can be used without strut brace, the slots are almost invisible.

Clean and in good shape, although hard to photograph. Will probably fit 964 as well.

$150/BO.

Stut brace. Big, nice, adjustable, sturdy, low profile. Very minor scratches can be seen on pictures. Asking $125/BO:

Will that strut brace fit under the carpet?

Rudy, PM replied.

Jimbo, it does fit if you really stretch carpet over it. But I'd run it through the slots like most braces.

For what it's worth, my strut brace is under my carpet.

That's a great price for the carpet. New from Sunset is almost $500.

If anyone is so inclined, this is a great candidate for an RS style "brazilian".

Best,

Matt

$40 and a good cobbler... and you're all set.

I got tired of buttoning and unbuttoning the carpet for every brake fluid and track inspection.

It's just that much more convenient to check the battery, and dry any water ingresss that can sometimes pool in the bowels of the trunk area.

No regrets. Just make sure your shoemaker does a tidy job.

Best,

Matt

actually, if you get water, check the plugs on the bottom of the frunk. There's three of them, I believe, and they are functional. They also have a tendency to either get lost or clogged.
