Default Seat adjustment

I've a vague recollection that I read that the 993 seats can be re-positioned to another set of holes....is that true or did I invent it?

I could use a bit more headroom....that's the problem I'm trying to solve. I'm tall with a long torso. I fit, but another inch of space up top would be nice....

If true, how much of a hassle is it to do? Power seats....

Edit: Sorry, did several searches and found it after posting this...one can use holes in floor pan....with custom made spacers....ugh.

The seat can be moved back on an extra set of holes in the seat rails. Unfortunately this might cut down on your head space if you need more torso space since the roof declines as it goes back. It works well if you need leg room.

Another way is to remove some of the cushion in the seat bottom. This helped a friend get space so he could use a helmet without slanting his head.

It's pretty easy to move the rails back to the second set of holes. In my Turbo the difference was about 7/8". There's no reason not to do it; if you find you lose too much headroom you can just slide the seat back up to where you want it. I'm 6' 2" and moving it to the rear holes was perfect for me and I still have head room when wearing a helmet for DE's.

I had the seat moved back, with no issues; I'm 6' 1". I wanted to be able to keep the seat away from the back stop, so it wouldn't jam.
