Default Steering Wheel Help

Hi Everyone,

My early 1995 has developed an annoying problem - the rubber grommets that hold the airbag off the steering wheel are shot and the airbag mounting frame is no longer made by Porsche (a TSB says they updated the frame, steering wheel, and airbag in mid 1996). I've tried to shim the grommets but one just split, the rubber literally disintegrated. The problem is that this causes the horn to blow non-stop (I've pulled the fuse)

So, the only solution looks like replacing the wheel, unless I can find someone that can press new grommets into the existing frame.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? How did you solve it? Is buying a new steering wheel the only option? Anyone have a lead on a good replacement?

cheers,

sean
