No, they don't need rebuilding. But I figured I'd get the best powder coating job done if the pistons and seals were removed. I'd be a little concerned about taking them off the car for a few weeks to do such a project with no fluid to keep those seals lubed. It's pretty arid here in the desert and I'd not be able to knock this project out quickly.
