Glue for inner door plastic weather shield?

Does anyone know what type of non-hardening adhesive should be used on the plastic sheet that is found inside the door?

i used clear silicone adhesive when i redid mine.

Just a guess but how about the Dow (or 3M) Weatherstrip Adhesive in Black?

3M strip Calk not sure why its not spelled 3M strip Caulk on the box
