I hear the counter arguments for owning the Singer, but at the end of the day anyone with the will and the means can probably recreate any expensive car experience for cheaper. But if you have $200k to drop, chances are you aren't picky about getting max value - instead, u are indulging a passion (or lust!). To each his/her own, but the Singer is what would do it for me...

Restore/ Rebuild a Porsche car with only Porsche parts gives the car a feel and passion that only Porsche can deliver. I know that you can build one for much less money but it does take a lot of time to do it. That said, if one computes what they are worth per hour into the cost vs. $200,000 it may come out about the same or even a bargan.

It's not like Porsche losing money building the 959.
