I have replaced many back windows on 73 to 89 911’S there is no sealant used, it is a very easy job to complete you just have to watch out for the rear window de-ice wires. I have never done my 993 but it looks the same and there is no trim piece to have to fit in the gasket. You should also look at some Porsche salvage yards. They usually have rear windows and they are not chipped like a used wind screen would be.

Mine shattered a few years back. Called all the Porsche dealers in town and asked who they used, the all mentioned the same place. So I took it there. Very conscientious shop, were willing to work with me. I purchased the glass from Sunset for a better price than the shop could get.
I also purchased the set of templates, and provided the pages from the workshop manual. They usually do mobile installs, but for mine they asked me to bring it to their shop, as well as keep it overnight to make sure it set up properly.
Cost for install was $373, glass was $828, seal $65, templates $42. Total a touch over $1300.
