What a great day for so many reasons. So here are the pics. For all of your folks that missed this day, you can still enjoy it through the pics. It'll be like you were there too! Maybe you can try to make it out next time if things work out. Thanks for all the attended. This day wouldn't have been anything without everyone's participation. And I mean everyone!

Wow, we finally got someone from the Panamera Rennlist board to show up! Maybe next time one of the Carerra GT guys will show... OMG I love this car...

Remind me to get one in 10 years when these are around $41k

Class

Love... Great back seats, as long as the front seat isn't back too far. Actually plenty of room.

Nav and a whole host of other options as one of the gauges on the instrument cluster. Swank.

Nathan looks right at home...

Perfect white, 993 Targa. Sweet...

The interior of the 993 Targa...

Cool color

Really cool color. 88 Mint 930 Turbo

A cadre of P-cars

88 930 Turbo. You just don't see cool styling elements like this on many cars

What's not to love?

I could live with this...

So nice

Now this is a love story on this 1982 Carrera. The gent that owns this made an electric steering option for his wife so she could more easily drive this (the wheel as it was was too hard to turn for her due to a physical limitation). In any case, I turned the wheel while it was parked. It turned like butter.

A pic from the track at Summit Point?

VIR?

Nope, just our local meet and drive

Race wheels

Mark from Baltimore and his 95 race car 993 - we heard him a 1/2 mile away before he pulled up

964 Turbo with Speedlines. Is there much on earth (car-wise) that's more beautiful?

The only 944 Turbo you'll ever see like this

Cool as ****e

Yes, even the interior was customized. Must be seen in person to be totally appreciated

His wife's car... a very rare Cassis pinkish silver 968 convertible with white linen interior. 1 of 2 in the US.

Gorgeous and clean wheel on a 993. Is that a speck of dust in there? Very deep and beautiful

His mats. Want

We had a new GTS show up. So purty inside

Awesome stitching

No more lug nuts, like the GT3. Never seen this before. I learn so many new things at each Meet and Drive

Hawt

Yes, even Andreas fits back here...

And here

Nice back seat

Nice view from the driver's position and the stereo is 22 Bose speakers as the stock system. You'd have to hear the bass to believe it.

Not sure I've ever seen these exact wheels before on a 911. Pretty cool

On the drive

Stopped to wait for the rest of the gang

I now officially love this car in this color combo

Oh, that's a handsome little car too

Hmmm, the owner of that car has really good taste

Driving and taking pics at the same time. Not exactly safe but the end result is fun if it works out

It kind of looks like my silver 993 but kind of not

Rolling thunder

to be continued on the next post...

Continued from previous post -

At Urban BBQ - 50 minutes later

Kind of looks like my 993 door, but kind of not.

The rarest of the rare, the Cassis Red Metallic 968. Our only lady driver of the day...

Finally - FOOD!

It's actually all about the people in the end...

Yep, definitely it's about the people. Super nice, friendly people

Our waitress rocked! She got up on a high place to take this for us. She got a great tip

Waitress lady

Heading out after lunch. If you ever wondered what a 993 race car's boot looks like, here ya go.

What an exhilarating day. If you're able to come to the next one that meets in Rockville next Spring, please do! Someone should be announcing another one soon though for Southern Maryland that meets at the ******* Hotel at National Harbor and heads to Southern MD from there and back.

Cheers,
Steve R

Sweet pics and yes, that was a funny shot. There was less than a sheet of paper's clearance between those Panamera rear exhaust pipes and the curb.

It was OK. Thanks for asking. Got some nice pics of the car all cleaned up on the cobblestone streets of Old Town VA while I was there though.

#56 is Tuesday night in Tyson's Corner. If she's anything like her picture and the sweet trail of traded emails, this should be a great date

It was great to see everyone! Sorry I couldn't join the drive. Hopefully, the clicking lifter gremlin will go away. But I did make it at least, unlike some ** cough ** trinitony ** cough ** Steve, thanks again for arranging everything! Loving the pics!!!

Thanks for the additional pics Paul. Yep you spelled it correctly. Your car reminded me of my 335i that was also slammed on H&R. Hope to see you more at these meets.

Thanks so much for putting this on, Steve! Karen had a great time and thought the people she talked to were really friendly. Nice to meet some new people there.

Hmmmm, according to the list I "last visited: 07-13-2011 at 10:26 PM" Guess I've been a little busy..
Had to find this thread and view the pics as the gathering and the run were so much fun!

Excellent outing and great to see all of you once again.. and of course always nice to meet the new folks joining us! Mark, good seeing you and glad you could make it down from B-more..

Steve, thanks for the run it was a blast as usual! And yes, stay tuned.. as the Southern MD Seafood Run is on its way!
As you stated above, it will leave from the ******* Hotel @Nat'l Harbor.

We are trying to both adjust for the weather (yeah right) and avoid conflicts with other PCA or Marque club events thus the tentative dates
are;
30-Oct, 6-Nov, or 13-Nov. (any preference?)

Finalized details will be post here on the forum.

Regards,

Paul
