My first Porsche was a 1970 911E in a beautiful metallic burgandy color, not too dissimilar to Arena Red. I suspect it might be worth a little less than McQueen's 911S, but I seriously miss it.

For me, the one that is second to my 993 are either of the 968's I've owned. Much more sophisticated than the 993, but just not enough low end power. Those 944 varients just fit you more nicely than does the 993. More room and the controls are better placed. Better climate control, and parts are much less expensive.

I miss my Bali Blue 356 Cabriolet and wish I still had that. Second most was the 97 993 Cab that I sold for a 996. Very happy with my current cars though.

My first Porsche, a 58 coupe, which I had in 1966 in college. Later I had a Marina blue/linen 89 930 cab that I would love to see in the garage. It was very dramatic in both appearance and behavior....Chris

It will never compare to my 95 cab, but I will always love my 1984 944. The 944 was absolutely bulletproof, I put 150K miles on it, drove it like I stole it, watched my wife drive it like she stole it, enjoyed the ice cold A/C, and was shocked that the kid down the street paid me $4000 for it in 1997 with 200k on the odo. That car inspired me to buy a 993!
