Porsche featured marque @Supercar Sunday 8-28-11
Porsche is the featured marque this month. For those of you not familiar with Supercar Sunday, it,s a weekly event held between the hours of 7:00 am ish to about 10:00 am. The location is in Woodland Hills, on the corner of Topanga Canyon Blvd. and Erwin St. It's not uncommon for for 500 to 1500 cars to show up for the end of the month meeting. Free, open to all car lovers, only thing asked by the promoter is obey the laws, NO BURNOUTS / SPEEDING. This a great event that we don't want to lose. Last year about 200 Porsches showed up, besides all the other great cars that stopped by.

I'm in. Taking my mom to brunch at Sagebrush Cantina afterward.
Here's a link to the official calendar http://www.supercarsunday.com/calendar.
A shot of my car from exactly one year prior. It was still early, like 7:00 a.m. S.S. is early, but not as crazy early as C&C Irvine. Coffee (and bathroom!) at Maggiano's or McDonald's across the street.
Shots from "Italian Month" in July, including a diabolical Zonga:

Just 6 days away.
Last time, they tried to park honored marque P-cars out by the corner of Topanga and Erwin. I'll try to at least park among some of the later air-cooled cars, if possible. More than likely, the 993s will be a jumble.
Somehow, the NSX guys (and some F-cars) always stay in "formation." Maybe they arrive together at 5:30?

This years turn out should be better than last years. If last month was any indication, we should see at least 150 to 200 Porsches and 500 various car nuts in Lambo's, ferrari's, cobra's, vette's, hot rods, muscle cars, ect. Lot fills up early with no assigned parking to speak of, plenty of room though. I'm going to try and arrive at 7:00 am and park with any of my Porsche brothers. By 10:00 am people are starting to head home or off for a canyon drive. I hope we have a large 993 turnout.

I went on the random everyone is lost doesn't know what they were doing drives last month. It's fun even if you are on your own and get lost and just drive up and down the mountain. That was the first time I have ever driven in the daylight up there, and let me say anyone who isn't sure. Just go and randomly drive up there. You will not be disappointed.

I would love to bring the 993 up, but...
It is at Art's getting new tranny fluid, fuel filter, front tires, plugs, ignition wires, and my daughter has a soccer tourney in Huntington Beach.
Take lots of pics. Hopefully I can make it next year.
