Did you do the install? Did you cut the existing carpet? If not, where did you get the matching carpet? I have an alpine amp mounted to the side right now, but I've seen several pics of having a panel that raised the floor a few inches and burying the amp in it (as yours looks). I think that's a cleaner look.

Yes, I did the install. No carpet was harmed in the install. Amp mounted on a board that lays in the bottom of the trunk. Raised for air circulation. The top piece clips on to the bottom piece with cabinet hardware. You can get original silverknit carpet from appbiz (Ebay or website). To finish the look I glued some carpet under the heatsink portion of the amp so if you look through them you won't see wood. I'll take some pics of the top piece removed tomorrow.

Looks good Jeff. I had thought about doing this type of install but did not want to put holes in the carpet.

can i ask how you are securing your base board (that the amp is screwed into) to the car? or is it floating? If it's floating doesnt it move around? I'd love to do something like this but have not figured out how to attach my bottom board to the car yet still have access to the battery area and spare tire well beneath it.

Hmm looking closer it looks like you have the amp board sitting on top of the factory trunk carpet.
