It seems to be a rather unappreciated colour? I think it's stunning :

These pictures were taken with the same camera on the same day. On the first picture, some of the car is in the sunlight and some of the car is in the shade ---- this is interesting as now one can see the differences in color between sunlight/shade while keeping camera exposure settings fixed.

Hi Pags --- looks like a nice day in Toronto this weekend as well! Interesting that your photo has a lot of blue overtones and darkened corners --- was this run through some kind of filter / instagramm?

BTW -- what is that "lip" thing on your rear spoiler?

Hey Jlaa, I didn't take the photo but it does look like he ran it through some sort of filter or different camera setting. I know squat about photography other than setting the camera to auto.

The lip is an aftermarket "winglet" sold by GT3 TEK / better bodies. Considered the RS wing but chose not to take the plunge and chose the subtle winglet instead.

This colour looks so "slate grey" in some lighting and so forest green in other lighting.

Your car looks very nice Jlaa with the Tramonts! Are you running Pss10's?

It's amazing how difficult this color is to photograph. All you have to do is scroll through this thread and you see all these different colors, yet it's the same color...

The color has a richness to it that is hard to capture with a camera. It "shines" like a black car, but it's not. The metallic flake brings the color to life in the sun. I've tried to photograph the metallic flake in the sun, but I can't capture what my eye sees.

Some pics:

Edoyle - Thanks. I am not running PSS10s. The previous owner fit Bilstein 24-061308 which I understand are Bilstein B6 HD.

FatMike --- totally agree about the color --- It is a lovely color as it does seem to change ---- esp your comments about the metallic flake in the sun. I once had a car (attached) that had Citroen "Neptune Grey" color ---- it was very similar to Aventurine Green and when I had that car I really became enamored of the color. I am convinced that if the Porsche color were renamed "Aventurine Grey" that it would be super popular.

I think this is the closest of all the pics I've taken that reflects the real color and its variants depending on the lighting situation. This was taken at dusk with Samsung 3s

My 96 C4S, definitely a really nice color that you don't see often on a 911.

arguably an underrated color of the 993. Changing light changes the color of the car. I've been asked if mine was a shade of black. Another was convinced it was a shade of gray.
