"With that being said my new price is $3200/offer." This is a really fair price.I have seen the seats and the Bolster is not as bad as it looks in the picture.Any good shop can repair just that Bolster. The Seat Belt is what causes the damage.

I have a very nice set of Cashmere Hard Backs with Heat and Porsche Crests in Headrest's.It would take $5000 for me to part with them.

I paid $1,500 for a pair that was perfect. Should have parted them separate when I sold the car.

I had my seat backs painted glacier white and they look great. As far as those who wouldn't pay this or that for the seats I'm sure you've bought stuff for the cars that I or others might question. Let the buyer and seller determine what is the right price

Very good price indeed.

$5000 for heated? Raising the roof!

For some people price is irrelevant to get the look they want. Take the PO who installed the RS seats in my car. He sunk $8000 into stock 15 year old carcasses, a recover in factory sourced leather, color matched backs, powder coated carriers to factory spec and custom titanium hardware. Talk about dedication to a cause and not worrying about the bottom line.

Get to correct myself, based on a re-look at the sticker because I commented on that newly purchased '98 2S thread. The $1287 is for "paint to match." Cost of the seats was $365/ea.

Not long ago I bought a pair from a collector in Germany. Turn out to be in marble grey and NOT classic grey. After putting in the car, doesn't look too bad at all. I think there is no subsitute for it. I am in the vintage watch business and I see rare watch parts such as dial, bezel, and hands go up in value everyday. I will buy as many pairs of these seats in good original condition as possible. As long people still like 993, it will never depreciate.

I based my original price on what was paid for the seats ($4000 plus the repainting of the hardbacks in Glacier White $500). Giving $500 credit for repair and reconditioning I arrived at $4000. Sounds like the market is at $3500 to $4000 for nice examples that need no repair.

With that being said my new price is $3200/offer.

In my opinion, that's a fair price. I have bought and sold these seats previously. Has nothing to do with affordability. Has to do with the added hassle required for someone to recover seats, repaint seats, etc. A perfect set of black sport seats with unpainted backs and crests would probably get 4500-5500, I think that is the benchmark...

Really? A N/C option to upgrade to hardback sport seats? I did not know that.

Good for you that the seats are sale pending. You probably could've presented your original post much better had you chosen to include the photo of the damage to the bolster. Interesting that you didn't choose to post the worn bolster picture on this thread, but did on your classifieds listing.

About $3K is a fair price for used hard back sports seats with some major wear that have custom painted backs. In fact, if someone was patient, they could find the same seats in better condition for less money, as someone else mentioned earlier in this thread.

Tony the sports seats are just not comfortable for my build . Every time I drove I would get a pinch in my right shoulder blade. I find the seats too narrow... I replaced with the standard black seats and pain has gone away.
