I still have the dealer faxing me the title in the morning he said it will clear up any confusion when I see it, so we will see. I will post what I find out tomorrow. So I haven't crossed it out completely, just 99.3%

My Landrover was stolen and it was driven through several hedges and across my neighbors lawn, then was crashed into a gatepost in reverse after a police chase.
After they had paid me full value, I made a bid on my "totalled"car at the insurance auction. I paid my insurance co. my $110 winning bid and took it home. The title is unaltered as I am the the original owner. There is no notation of salvage because it was not resold. I have repaired it, I didn't need an inspection, I drive it in its battered condition. I could sell it, and the buyer would never know..... other than there is a dent in every panel.

Back to the original question regarding the OEM split C2S grille.
The entire engine lid need does not need to be replaced to swap out the wing for the stock retractable grille if the factory hardware and wiring is still intact.

So here is the carfax. From what I understand, the rebuilt title/salvage was from a theft from porsche dealer and insurance co. wrote car off as a loss. I noticed an accident in 1998 with an object. Yes....an object. So even if the car checked out and passed a PPI with flying colors and was a real real good price would you guys still recommend running? Obviously I am most likely not going to consider this car because I would never be able to sell it, but what if it checked out and was everything I wanted, color, model, mods, etc,etc, and I didn't plan on selling....I know... lying to you is like lying to myself...I am pushing it...the search will continue.
