Here's a thread all about the wheels for those interested in the details:
https://rennlist.com/forums/993-foru...ial+set+wheels

I had the rotors electroless nickel plated by a local plating company that specializes in auto restorations. They take the rotors apart, media blast the hats/hardware & 'mask' the rotor faces using a wax like coating so that the braking surface isn't affected. Everything else completely resists corosion.

Also would anybody know if they come with black spokes or only from aftermarket repainting?

Jim Dorociak built this set for me using a new set of OE Speedline RS wheels that had received some minor dings during the trip from Italy. Jim can paint the centers any color you choose...

Regarding the price, that's a good question. Jim and I engaged in a fair amount of horse trading for parts that I had, so I'm not really sure on the exact cost. If you were to have purchased one of the sets I had, the parts necessary to convert to this spec and then Jim's cost to build you would probably end up somewhere around $7k (correct me if I'm wrong Jim).

Cactizzle - see post #17 above. I'm not sure how the nickle plating process works (much like chroming, I guess). It works amazingly well & the finish is just beautiful compared with the painted factory coating.

Here is my thread from the 951 section:
