Hi. Doofus here. My ashtray won't latch. I know its a simple adjustment, but I can't figure it out. Help a doofus.

Mine has trouble but I just push it a few times and it latches. Too lazy to actually look into it

There is a pin that goes all the way across, sometimes it comes out the one side, check that, it requires removal of the whole ashtray assembly, not hard at all.
Just had to do this on our '94 speedster, and I think it's the same design.

Thanks for the replies. I fiddled with it and removed that inner part, and it started latching again. Very unsatisfying not to see how the dang thing works.
