Looks great! Funny, I've got most of that stuff, save the wheels, on my 911.

I'd keep those wheels over twists, but if you're set on selling, give me a PM.

Wow! Looks awesome! Where did you get the shift boot?

I never noticed that your car had sidemarkers.

Just add the clubsport spoilers

Thanks everyone for the positive response.
At some point in its life, my car went back to Europe for a few years and later came back to the USA.
At that point the euro bumper and side repeaters were installed. I like the repeaters, specially in the clear color. They blend very well with the polar silver and clear turn signals.
I really like the Recaro Pole Position seats as daily drivers. I had them in the past in the Cactus Wagon, before Ryan purchased the car from me. I find they are more confortable for me, then the stock units.
With that said, it does take an extra few seconds to get in and out. Once you are in them they are great. Plus in my own opinion, they are the best looking seats for a 993.
Now, if I can only get them redone in black leather with daviated cobalt stiching to match my belts.....
Brendan, are you looking for an other "AMIGO" to your car?
One never knows, I was released from my employment three weeks ago here in Louisville. I am hoping I will be able to keep the car. Hopefully I will find a new opportunity soon.
Thanks again to all...

Gonzilla,
The shifter is actually a carbon/aluminum 996 shifter. I modified my original boot and installed it on the 996 shifter, very easy to do. The instrument rings are from Chris her on Rennlist.

Sorry to hear about your job situation Al. Hopefully something will come along quickly. I was only kidding about your car- one Polar Silver ex- Al Z per family is plenty!

Interesting. I asked because I have the same shifter and bought a shift boot from an Ebay vendor called "Top Gaiters" that was absolutely horrible. Long story short, I eventually got it to work after "rebuilding" it. I just wondered if you had made the same mistake.

Mike,
I used my original shifter from the 993. I cut the leather boot as far as possible towards the top of the shifter. I then turned the boot inside out and inserted the bottom of the 996 shifter and used a plastic tie wrap to secure it to the 996 carbon unit.
The fit was perfect because I used the original boot and base.
You should try to find an oem shifter, even if the shifter itself has a little bit of wear it will work great for this project.
I can take some close up picks if you need them of the underside of the boot.
Hope this helps.

Hey Al. Thanks for the offer on the pics, but mine's on and the fire's extinguished. It looks pretty good now. I'll have to start a thread about my experience to warn other people that might be in the market for a shift boot. It sounds like you did it the right way. The reason I bought a new aftermarket boot is I just couldn't bring myself to cut up my old shifter!

They are very strict... all because there never was a factory supplied ducktail for the 993... I had a huge hassle to get my BBS wheels accepted, took almost 5 months...
