Porsche's roots in Switzerland
The first serie Porsche 356 was bought in 1948 by a Swiss in Zurich, Ruppert von Senger.
In 1949 Jolanda Tschudi bought as the first woman a 356 cabrio from the world's first Porsche dealer in Zurich.
Switzerland has the highest number of Porsches per capita in the world.
My canton, Ticino, has the highest number of Porsches per capita in Switzerland....
Cool...

I concur. When I was in Lugano for a couple of months last year, the P-cars seems to be in every garage and can be seen running around all the different lakes in the weekend. And of course enough souls that have daily drivers. Mostly though 4 wheel drive Carreras, for the obvious reasons. You do want to drive it when it snows too ...

Sounds like So Calif.
That's interesting about the per capita numbers.
Seriously, I was at UCLA for business on Thurs. Saw 4 new GT3's and 3 new 997TT's, all with paper plates between Sunset and LAX on the 405. It was almost comical. We saw a number of 911's and a 964 that day as well.

I just got back from Switzerland. Just watch those speeds in your Porsche. They are no joke about speeding fines in that beautiful country and not afraid to put a few cameras up.
