Default New Group 48 Battery in Town

FYI, Sam's Club now stocks DURACELL auto batteries. Who makes DURACELL auto batteries? EAST PENN! Currently, their Group 48 is lead/acid but they may stock their AGM series in the future. Price for the conventional Group 48 is $89 exchange. 3 yr. unconditional/8 yr. prorated warranty is through Sam's Club, not East Penn. rated 875 CA/700 CCA. Built-in handles, too.

NC, after you brought it up in the other thread, I Googled Duracell group 48 to get some specifications for my list and came across this thread.

Here is a pic of an East Penn Pow-R-Surge 648MF battery, so the Duracell 48 should look the same other than maybe the case color...

Other than case color, the above battery is 100% identical to the Porsche Moll-Kamina that was previously installed in my 993.

NOTE: the MF stands for Maintenance Free which if it isn't a VRLA battery, cannot be the case. Thankfully this battery does have caps so that you can maintain it by adding distilled water when necessary.
