I agree with what has been said but I think Maritime blue has a lot more purple in it than the other blues discussed in this thread. I'd love to see a Maritime blue car next to a riviera blue or mexico blue. Then it will be easier to tell.

Maritime does have a lot more purple in it than MB or RB and is really a noticably different color than either of those ... its still goregous though!

The 964 in the back is Maritime blue. The difference is big compared to the Riviera 993 next to it.

Here's how close the two colors look to each other with the Riviera car parked in partial shade.

Totally indistinguishable. Those who think that they can easily tell one color from the other, best think again!

Agree that in the sun especially, these colors are tough to tell apart. That 964 looks a lot like turquoise blue in that picture. I LOVE that RS mint color...

Here are our turquiose blue 993 and my 981spyder in mexico blue side by side. To complicate matters, the other picture is my mex blau spyder next to a friend's voo doo blue spyder. Both those colours are PTS and the turquoise was a std colour in '97. The voo doo is on the right with PCCB's.

Yeah, the 993 is a keeper! ( but I have the habit of saying that about several of them, and wish I had listened to myself better before selling a real '71 914-6, and a '65 C cab)

Hoping you don't mind that I'm bumping an extremely old thread but here goes....

I'm hoping someone can help me out as we currently have a build for a 2021 718 Spyder in Miami Blue. We've been told that we might miss the cutoff from Porsche switching to Shark Blue. Unless we love Shark Blue which so far is speculated to be similar to Cornflower Blue from VW which seems very similar to Voodoo Blue is probably not something we'd be too interested in. With that being said, if we don't like Shark Blue, our back up plan is to look into doing PTS in either Riviera Blue or Mexico Blue. We do love these colors but have only seen them on a computer and never in person and of course the computer in many case don't correctly represent the colors.

That's where I'm wondering if anybody can help us out. If you have either color and are willing to allow my wife and I to view in person, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm located in SoCal and we'd be willing to drive around the area. Thanks.

Default Tough to tell!!

Really good pic - I was struggling with the differences in those two colors but the Riviera is clearly lighter.

Riviera and Mexico look the same to me here.

Your pic shows the difference
