Try out the Alarm.
Wondered how it works and what it sounds like. 
1995 c2 inside my garage to respect the neighbors.
Lower the driver side window, lock doors with key, put on ear protection, reach into the open window, unlock with latch and open door.
Alarm sounds and lights flash. Inserting key will stop it.
Now I'm sure it works.
