Driving a Riley DP type car @ MMC (unreal)
Yesterday I put the top down in the 993 & headed up to MMC to drive the Riley MkXXII track day car.
Got the call last week that the car was just completed at Riley Technologies & would arrive on Fri. @ the track.
Could not sleep the night before dreaming of 650 bhp behind my head.
The car was truly amazing-words can not describe it. I took a while to get use to the no lift throttle paddle shifters. Once mastered you could just stay on the gas & up shift. The car leaps forward with no delay.
Anyway during my last session I was reaching 182 mph on the back straight. Brakes were massive, no worries slowing. Car was equipped with ABS & traction control.
I did not opt for the $1000.00 per day insurance to cover crash cost so I could not let it rip.
As always lots of other cool P- cars were on hand.

THAT Is One Cool Car!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you get to drive it, or just ride along? Either way, it must have been unreal.

Yes, I drove it for (2) 15 min. Stints ~ aprrox. 12 laps. It drains your body & soul.
I will be driving it again next month@ MMC
I have two short vids. Motor sounds nothing short of orgasmic.

The car is very hard to launch due to on/off switch type clutch.
