First all, what are you guys doing about the clunky plastic key for the 993?
Any replacements?
Second of all, my porsche plastic box key fob will arm and disarm the alarm but it only unlocks the passenger door? Even the console lock button will only lock the passenger side. Any idea why drivers door lock will not function?
I have been using my key in the drivers door in order to lock and unlock. With the factory alarm it is a process, especially with valet........

Its probably your driver's side lock actuator that needs to be replaced since it won't work with the key fob or the interior button. So its not the key fob. I don't think they are very expensive, but a pain to pull of the door panel, which I'm pretty sure is the only way to get in there.

I got the key conversion from Pelican.
I have the same issues with my door locks. The drivers' side lock works intermittently with the fob. The passenger side doesn't work with anything but the key. The inside lock button is just decoration, it doesn't do anything. My problems started when I hit a flooded section of highway and the water was high enough to get into the passenger side. It shorted out my audio components that were under the seat and up against the foward floorboard. I don't need to enter the code when I use the key though. The immobilizer still works and I hit the button on the fob and I can start the car.
