Just a lowly Spec 911 race, though. From last Saturday at Sears Point.
Put the camera in my friend's car. Qual 9th, Finish 7th. Nothing spectacular here, other than it's a demonstration on how virgin shaved RA1s have nothing (spec tire for the class). He went 1.5 sec quicker in Sunday's race and finished 3rd.
Of note at the start is fast qualifier/eventual winner Tom VanOverbeck (yes, Johannes dad), who pulled 5th starting spot from the topsy-turvy start (top 6 qualifiers draw out of a hat to figure actual staring position). You can see his light blue state-of-the-art car initially on Lap 1.
If you're not familiar with the series, it's basically any torsion bar chassis @ 2400 lbs (w/ driver). Predominately stock internal 3.0 engines (concessions for 2.7 and 3.2)/stock gearing/225 + 245 X 16 Toyo RA1 tires/torsion bar springing.

Oregon Scientific ATK9C. Sound is at "2" on the 5 scale. (Same camera as the other "chasing the GT3 videos from 2 weeks ago.) $200 at exactly ONE local Costco (Novato, for those of you local). 720P@60FPS mode. Bonus is waterproof (20 meters) which was handy for the whitewater rafting thing in Charlotte last month.
