Hello All,

I'm new to the forum and excited to learn about experiences from fellow 993 owners.

My vehicle is a 1996 Carrera S (black/black) with a wide body and Porsche aero kit. It is my understanding that Porsche didn't make an "S" in the Carrera that year but only the 4S. I do know, however, that Porsche has built many limited edition models that were not extensively offered.

I'm interested in finding anyone how may own, has owned, or has knowledge of this production year Porsche S model.

What's the mfg date on it? If it was Sep 96 or later, it's a 97.

I'm currently not where is the car is located, however, if it is Sept or later then is it actually a 1997 and sold/priced as a 1997?

Look at the title to be sure. The "S" body were only titled as 97 & 98's, regarding of when the build date was. The 4S was from 96-98.
