After a year of ownership I’ve decided to sell the 1997 C4S and move on to a 993tt. Life has been extremely busy since purchasing it from fellow rennlister/pelican head Mark Wilson & I have barely driven it (I know, I know…). While it’s been nice to have in the garage (climate controlled) and look at lovingly, it’s time for someone else to really enjoy it.
I’ve never seen another with the same interior combination (boxster red full leather & deviated black carpets) and it left the exclusive line with a nice list of options:
Code Option Description
030 Sport Group
09991 manufacture from the exclusive-program
159 Motor Sound Package
437 Comfort seat left
454 Automatic speed control
490 Hi-Fi sound system
498 Without rear model designation
586 Lumbar support - left seat
650 Sunroof
659 Onboard computer
680 Digital Sound
688 Radio cd CDR210
C02 Equipped with catalytic converter
X97 Aluminum/leather shift ****
X98 Aluminum/leather parking break handle
Exterior - Arctic Silver
Interior - Boxster Red Full Leather / Black Carpets
It’s a great looking & driving car but not perfect – which is reflected in the price. I had a PPI done at Ruf Auto Center prior to purchase & I’d be happy to share it with the truly interested. At the same time, I had them perform the 90k service and change all plugs & belts. Current mileage is 89.5k. At ~35k the car had a full top end rebuild performed under warranty at the dealership due to an SAI issue – no CEL since… A new clutch will be needed soon as I did notice it slip once or twice on acceleration - I've decided to leave this to the next owner so that they can specify the type of clutch.
Please excuse the lack of detail here – I’ll be happy to provide a detailed and very honest description over the phone (I prefer to talk then type). If you are interested in the car, or know of someone who is looking please PM me.
Price is $34,500 with the original turbo twist wheels (other wheels are available at additional cost).
Few pictures taken last weekend:

Love the colors! Not often you see a WB with enough miles to warrant a top-end. This car seems to be a new clutch away from perfection.
Noobies won't like the miles, but if you can wait a bit, a knowledgeable owner will snap it up at your asking price.

Cheers guys - I'll be sad to see it go because I love the unique color combination and those wide *** hips without the rear spoiler.
Joe - I have a couple of TT's that I'm interested in, but nothing more than that....
If anyone knows of an arena red/black interior 993tt for sale, please PM me!

When I shopped for the turbo my one requirement was black interior. However, I am drawn to that Boxster Red interior when coupled with Arctic Silver. It speaks to the Porsche history. GLWS and good luck with the turbo hunt. You will not regret the purchase.
