My A/C is not working. When the A/C is selected on the compressor does not engage. I have checked everything electrical and it all works. (the compressor engages when power applied directly to it)If the system is low on gas will this prevent the compressor from engaging.

It has just been gased after a new condensor fitted.

There is a pressure switch in the system that will prevent the compressor from coming on if there is too little gas in the system.

Or a bad pressure switch......

Or a bad evaporator or a bad expansion valve. Although I hope not because I just replaced mine and they are a pain to get to... requires taking the fuel tank out.
