Default Recaro Pole Position build

Bunch of you guys asked me to post a build for these pole positions so here it is. Hoping to have these seats completely done before monday but not sure if i will have time to completely update the thread by then.

The owner of the seats wanted to cover them in teal vinyl so we are using an nice auto/marine material that is specially treated and carries a very high temp, rub and uv rating as well as mildew protection. (can handle moisture, easy to clean, great for track use, and still reasonably affordable to replace if ever damaged)

Going a little more detailed here then with the sportster build so you can get a little better idea of what exactly is involved.

(felt w/canvas backing to be used on the under side of inserts for a secure grip against the velcro)

Do you ever send the shells out for painting?

thanks guys, glad you like it - we have actually done 3 or 4 other sets of seats in between the time we started on these and now. We just hit a little speed bump on these initially so we had to put them to the side for a short time.

Beautiful job, a real testament to your workmanship being able to make seats in such an ugly colour look this good;-)

haha thanks guys. The color has actually grown on us, its a little shock to your eyes at first but once you get used to it you can learn to like it.

We are working on squaring up the second seat now and then these will be leaving. Here are some of the other recent seats we have finished..

LS-B's made to mimic the earlier style ls's - These are going into an early Saab

Recaro sportsters (not finished in pics) these are going into a mk5 gti
