I dont use impact tools on struts anymore after I wrecked a set of Koni's on my GTI once. Had to send them to koni to be rebuilt. they say not to use impact tools for some reason.

Hi Mark-
Just checking back in-any further review on the setup? I think I'm going to order the Konis this week while still on sale, although I wont be able to install for a few months while my arm mends.

Thanks for a nice write-up. I recently had Tif's Foreign Car in Annapolis do just this on my 95 C2 along with a corner balance and I could not be more pleased with the results. I was hoping the car would be a little lower with the 033 springs than it turned out but I had told Tif that low was not as important as right. The Koni FSD's are surprisingly compliant over small bumps but stiffen up nicely when pushing it. It was a vast improvement on track day. The fact remains that the perfect track set-up is unsuitable for the street and vice-versa. This seemed, to this old man at least, to be a pretty good compromise. Cheers.....Chris
