I certainly can -- oh, that's cuz my 328iT has been trouble-free.

Now, I would never get a the 35 twin turbo motor -- unless I wanted to spend obscene money on maintenance. Isn't that what the 993 is for?

All I will say is that if you don't do the trade-in then you have to sell the car. Which means dealing with the phone-calls, no-shows, tire kickers and general b-essers - so for me the trade-in would be worth the avoidance of headaches. It's still a buyers market out there.
