Hey D/Mark,

Yes it's true.

I finally got the bug and ran across this. Little more car than I was looking for but it was on sale so couldn't refuse. Thought hard Spec Boxster, went looking 996 spec and this is what I stumbled across.

Now I just need the time to learn how to unleash it. Stinking Fast, so taking it easy.

Might need to bring it over one day to put on your lift and play.

Eric

That's great Eric. Just give us a call to make sure the lift is free!
We have moved the shop to a new location in Brentwood.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

Yup

I always find it amazing that there are these small 'cache's' of incredibly rare cars in private hands and these are in many cases, the cream of the crop. But the best part is that they are taken out and driven and enjoyed the way Porsche intended, not just locked away in the darkness. Bravo! to the doctor and his family .. that is a class act!

So, how do I get a job 'Curating' a collection of Porsches for people like this???? that would be my dream retirement .....
I volunteered to help exercise the cars periodically. Not holding my breath

do you have any idea how many balloon angioplasties are done every year?
OP, thanks for sharing the photo's

According to my friend Deborah, the investment in the winery is more than it will ever pay back. Hell of a showcase, huh??
Too good to keep to my self!!

what a great collection. wish I could join the event. Texas wines still have a long way to go!!! there is a wine maker in Oregon - Archery Summit that has built caves., only gravity feeds its wines, etc. one of the finest pinot noirs made. but no p-car collection to be sure!! worth the tour however if you are into wines.

great looking GT3 too....

Thumbs up Dr. Palmaz

I once had the honor (and yes it WAS quite an HONOR!) to work in a temporary capacity as Dr. Palmaz's receptionist in the Department of Cardiovascular Radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio a few years ago. I had no idea what a vast collection he has acquired, but I do recall getting calls daily about one car after another for him to consider buying. I also didn't know anything about his winery until very recently. He truly is a very humble man, so of course, he never boasted about any of those things. He's very nice, personable and kindhearted, and it was a total pleasure working for him!

Also, only a couple of months before I was given that assignment, my Dad had to have one of those stents placed in his left leg. I'd never even heard of those until that time. Imagine my surprise getting to work for the man who designed and innovated them!

Hey John, did you ever hear back from Palmaz about a group visit? I'd almost forgotten about this until it was bumped this morning .... I know organizing these things can be a royal PITA but it would be an awesome early summer event :-P
