Default Gauge lens question

Spending a little time today cleaning up the interior I noticed something strange. Are all of the five gauge lenses made of glass?
The reason for the question is that the speedo looks like plastic where the tach looks like glass. Could this be? The speedo has small scratches on the surface like it was made of plastic.

The speedo has a plastic lens - probably cheaper to manufacture with a hole in it for the odo reset.

North Holloywood Speedometer offers a glass lens to replace the plastic.

NHS charges $45 plus shipping. Just had them replace my tach glass after cracking it trying to get it off. Damn the luck - the glass had a water/mineral track across it when I got the gauge set. I almost just sent the tach off to them becasue I was afraid od doing what I did, LOL.
