Default AC compressor bracket...should i remove?

I have removed the AC compressor and soon the lines and condenser/fan.
Im debating if i should remove the bracket/mount for the compressor and how to remove. Does it have any other function? Its aluminum so i guess it doesnt weigh much? How do i remove?

Thanks!

The bracket is part of a large aluminum part that separates the rear engine carrier from the engine block. You'll have to remove the carrier, bottom rear fan pulley to remove this piece. Then cut of the condenser mounting part. I guess you could cut off the mount with everything in place if you're brave.
